Meet Dr. Evan Hertan

Dr. Evan Hertan combines his passion for orthodontics with a genuine commitment to individualized patient care, creating healthy, beautiful smiles that patients are proud to show off. Known for his warm and calm bedside manner, Dr. Hertan strives to make every patient feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Dr. Hertan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Yeshiva University, graduating summa cum laude. He then attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

Following dental school, Dr. Hertan pursued advanced training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, with an emphasis on dental implants, veneers, and complex prosthodontic cases. Through this experience, he developed a particular interest in the relationship between tooth alignment, occlusion, function, and dental aesthetics, a passion that ultimately led him to specialize in orthodontics.

Dr. Hertan completed his specialty training in orthodontics at Saint Louis University’s Center for Advanced Dental Education, a highly regarded orthodontic program. During his training, he also rotated through the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Cleft Palate Clinic, gaining valuable experience in the interdisciplinary treatment of patients with complex craniofacial needs.

Dr. Hertan is experienced in a broad range of contemporary orthodontic techniques and technologies, including traditional and self-ligating braces, Damon® braces, expanders, temporary anchorage devices (TADs), MARPE, lingual braces, Invisalign® and Invisalign First™, and other clear aligner systems. He also incorporates advanced digital treatment solutions, including LightForce™ customized 3D-printed braces and Timely® treatment, allowing him to tailor treatment to the individual needs of each patient. His treatment philosophy combines careful diagnosis, advanced technology, and individualized treatment planning to achieve excellent functional and aesthetic results.

In 2022, Dr. Hertan joined Dr. Eisenberger and Dr. Adler at Eisenberger & Adler Orthodontics, bringing his advanced training, thoughtful approach to treatment, and passion for creating exceptional smiles to the practice. Sharing their commitment to personalized, patient-centered care and clinical excellence, Dr. Hertan has become an integral part of the team, caring for patients with the same warmth, attention to detail, and dedication that define Eisenberger & Adler Orthodontics.

Outside the office, Dr. Hertan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys hiking, traveling, and photography.
